The Golden Hawk (Columbia C.E.I.A.D. , 1955). Very Fine- on Linen. First Release Italian 2 - Fogli (39.25" X 55") Alberto Capitani Artwork.Based on the best selling novel of the same name by Frank Yerby, it is a 17th century pirate story starring Sterling Hayden and Rhonda Fleming. Featured on the poster is an outstanding image by Capitani. Professional restoration has addressed mild fold wear and separations, pinholes, some tears in the borders, and a few chips in the borders and crossfolds, one of which has a splice. Some of these issues are still visible including some unaddressed edge wear, rust stains at the pinholes, and toning in the left border.
