Description

The Concorde: Airport '79 by John Berkey (Universal, 1979). Original Casein Paint Concept Art No. 5 (15" X 20"). Action.
John Berkey (1932-2008) was an illustration artist most known for his space and aviation paintings. His work was used on such films as The Towering Inferno (1974), King Kong (1976), The Hindenburg (1975) and many more. Berkey was hired to do concepts for the third sequel to Airport (1970) called The Concorde, dealing with the supersonic jet which was in heavy use at the time the film was made. The concept painting is done on heavy Crescent Illustration board. There are corner bends and some border smudges. Otherwise, this piece is in incredible condition. Very Fine.
