    Description

    Spartacus (Universal International, 1970). First Release in Poland, A1 (23.25" X 32.75").
The Polish genius film poster artist, Wiktor Gorka (Kabaret, Train Without a Timetable, etc.), achieves in a few blood-red bold strokes the soul of Kirk Douglas' rebellious slave, Spartacus. The name is stacked in impenetrable blocks in a stony helmet, while he angrily pushes aside the spear aimed at him. The poster has been linenbacked with some touchup for edge wear with small tears and chips in the left and top borders, small surface paper loss in the top corners, and small fold separation in the centerpoint. The lower left border has some small stains. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
