Spartacus (Universal International, 1960). Title Sequence Photo (13.5" X 30").This is image # 8 from the opening title sequence of Spartacus designed and created by Saul Bass. It is an original work of art from the classic film title designer and was used directly in the film. This photo of a knife point goes with the #7 frame to complete the image of a hand holding a knife. The piece has a few surface abrasions, and there is a bit of black masking tape along the edges as placed by the camera department. The board also has the following stamp on the back: "Saul Bass & Assoc., 7758 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles 46, Cal." Fine/Very Fine on Illustration Board.
