DescriptionGunga Din (RKO, 1939). Half Sheet (22" X 28") Style A.
This was the breakout film for George Stevens, who directed this rousing adventure yarn that was loosely based on a Rudyard Kipling poem. It's the tale of three brawling British sergeants who are stationed in 19th century colonial India and battle the head-hunting Thuggee tribe. Cary Grant, Douglas Fairbanks Jr. and Victor McLaglen are perfect as the carousing comrades. Heritage is pleased to present this rare style A half sheet for the first time, which features a portrait of the trio above an unfolding cavalry battle. Minor issues includes a chip at the top right, creasing, corner bends, edge wear, staple holes in the corners, and stains in the bottom border. Rolled, Fine/Very Fine.
