    Description

    Wings (Paramount, 1927). Title Lobby Card (11" X 14").
Title cards from this silent drama set during Word War I are few and far between, making this lot a top choice for discerning collectors. Former aviator William Wellman, only twenty-eight, directed this war picture, the first feature film to win an Academy Award. Charles "Buddy" Rogers and Richard Arlen star as wartime flyboys competing for the love of a nurse (Clara Bow). This linen-finish card features all three stars and presents exceptionally well after professional restoration. Touchup was applied to a chip in the top right corner, a sliver of missing paper in the right border, and a corner bend at the bottom right. The image area is unaffected by handling. Fine/Very Fine.
