    A beloved classic, this is the story of the Von Trapp Family Singers and their daring escape from Nazi-occupied Austria. Starring Julie Andrews as Maria, the young nun who becomes governess to the family of military officer Captain Von Trapp (Christopher Plummer). The film was based on a hit Broadway musical, and earned five Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Director (Robert Wise). It remains as popular today as it was upon its initial release. This poster is the hard-to-find "Roadshow" version, and features classic art by Howard Terpning. Touchup has been applied to slight fold wear, pinholes, and a few minor tears. The lower border has been airbrushed.
