Description

The Lost Weekend (Paramount, 1945). Three Sheet (41" X 81").
Winner of four Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Screenplay for Billy Wilder, this is one of the earliest films to seriously deal with the ravages of alcoholism. Ray Milland also won Best Actor for his nuanced and gripping portrayal of writer Don Birnam on a devastating weekend bender. Jane Wyman co-stars as Birnam's long suffering girlfriend, Helen. Minimal signs of handling include wrinkling in the borders, light stains in the background, very small tears and paper loss at the crossfolds, and pinholes in the corners. This must be a second printing of the three sheet as there is mention of the Oscars on the poster, though we have not sold a copy that did not. Fine/Very Fine.
