Description

The Life of Emile Zola (Warner Brothers, 1937). One Sheet (27" X 41").
Paul Muni earned an Academy Award nomination for his depiction of Emile Zola, a true-life political activist and novelist who fought the French government for wrongfully imprisoning a man on Devil's Island. Joseph Schildkraut won an Oscar for his supporting role, and the film brought home a win for the Best Picture Academy Award. Very rare, this terrific stone litho one sheet features a rendering of Muni. Signs of light handling include pinholes in Muni's forehead, edge wear with small chips, light stains and smudging in Muni's name, a tear in Muni's cheek, small tears in the bottom section and top border, cross fold separation, and tape on the verso. Folded, Fine/Very Fine.
