    Description

Lawrence of Arabia (Columbia, 1962). Roadshow One Sheet (27" X 41") Style A.
    T. E. Lawrence's book, The Seven Pillars of Wisdom, was masterfully transformed into this incredible motion picture that was nominated for eighteen Oscars and won seven, including Best Director (David Lean), Best Score (Maurice Jarre), and Best Picture. An epic depiction of the revolt of the Arabs against the Ottoman empire during WWI, it established Peter O'Toole as a major star in the lead role of Lawrence. Superb performances were also turned in by an incredible supporting cast, including Alec Guinness, Anthony Quinn, and newcomer Omar Sharif. Over the last fifty years the film has inspired a multitude of movie makers, such as Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg. Artist Howard Terpning masters the tension and drama of the film, on a one sheet that is the most sought after poster for the film. It is extremely rare to find this style in such pristine condition! Folded, Mint.
