    Description

Lawrence of Arabia (Columbia, 1962). British Quad (30" X 40").
Winner of seven Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Director, David Lean's unforgettable war film made a star of Peter O'Toole and virtually defined the word "epic." Based on T. E. Lawrence's own self-published memoir The Seven Pillars of Wisdom, it tells the story of one man's journey into the desert, where he sides with the Arabs in their rebellion against the Turks. This country of origin British quad is a Heritage first, and features the iconic image of Lawrence's face enigmatically draped in shadow. The reissue British quad has appeared a number of times through the years but this first release poster is very scarce. Touchup to a bend in the bottom right corner, and creasing and small tears in the top border. There is very faint spot of discoloration in the top right background. Very Fine- on Linen.
