    Description

It Happened One Night (Columbia, R-1948). One Sheet (27" X 41").
Frank Capra's indelible classic was the first film ever to win all five top Oscars. Legend has it that Clark Gable did not want to do the role, but was on loan-out to the "poverty row" studio, Columbia. As fate would have it, the 1934 feature made Gable, Capra, and Columbia fixtures in Hollywood history. With oversized portraits of Gable and co-star Claudette Colbert, this fine reissue one sheet is in highly presentable condition. The poster shows only pinholes in the borders, edge wear with tears, stains along the bottom edge, a pen mark in Gable's forehead, pinpoint cross fold separation, a misfold and creasing in the bottom section. Fine/Very Fine.
