    Description

It Happened One Night (Columbia, 1935). Lobby Card (11" X 14").
Ace reporter Peter Warne is brilliantly played by Clark Gable in his finest comedic role, which finds him falling for spoiled rich girl-with-a-heart Ellie Andrews (Claudette Colbert). The film won five Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Writing, one each for the stars and one for the outstanding direction by Frank Capra. This gorgeous portrait card from the following year capitalizes on the Academy wins with a "1st prize" logo in the left border artwork and was used while the film was still in its original release. A stunning card from this unforgettable classic. There is some surface paper loss on the white borders, and one pinhole in the top center and one in the bottom center border. There is a small tear in the left border and a faint corner bend in the top right corner. Fine/Very Fine.
