    It Happened One Night (Columbia, 1934). Pre-War Belgian (23.5" X 33.5").
Frank Capra created a masterpiece of the romantic comedy genre with this happy-go-lucky film which follows spoiled heiress Claudette Colbert on a madcap run from her father Walter Connolly, who is trying to prevent her marriage to Jameson Thomas. The fun begins when ace reporter Clark Gable finds the helpless girl, who has no idea how to survive in the real world, and teaches her the finer points of living as a common person. Winner of five Academy Awards, including Best Picture, this film has become a beloved classic. This gorgeous stone litho poster shows corner pinholes, a tear at the left edge, fold wear, and printing on Gable's face which announces a second showing for Cradle Song (1933). The artwork and color are simply stunning, featuring two unforgettable Hollywood legends. Fine/Very Fine.
