It Happened One Night (Columbia, 1934). Fine+ on Paper. Linen Finish Jumbo Lobby Card (14" X 17").Ace reporter Peter Warne is played with effortless charisma by Clark Gable in his finest comedic role, as he falls for spoiled rich girl Ellie Andrews (Claudette Colbert), coquettishly brittle but lovable. The film won five Academy Awards: for Best Picture, Writing, Actor and Actress and for Director Frank Capra. This rare card had minor restoration which repaired tears, a pinhole above Gable's head, crease to upper left and replaced chip to title. Touchup was applied to creases and pinholes and title image was hand-drawn.
