    Description

Gone with the Wind (MGM, 1939). Roadshow Lobby Card Set of 8 (11" X 14") Armando Seguso Artwork.
MGM first released Gone with The Wind in a limited engagement format in 1939, playing the film in just a handful of theaters around the country. Featured is the entire original lobby card set from that roadshow release, hailing from of one of the greatest films ever made. What's more, these beautiful cards boast artwork from renowned painter Armando Seguso, sporting portraits of the film's slew of stars like Vivien Leigh, Clark Gable, Leslie Howard, Olivia de Havilland, Hattie McDaniel, and more. General signs of handling in the portrait cards include edge wear, corner bends, pinholes in the borders, and unobtrusive stains and smudges. The Vivien Leigh card has a small bit of faint penciled writing in the top border. The title card has been restored to address the above issues, as well as a few minor tears, small corner chips, and a tiny hole in the bottom left corner of the frame. These issues may still be slightly visible. Very Fine.
