    Description

Gone with the Wind (MGM, 1939). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. Three Sheet (41" X 78.5") Roadshow BP Style, Armando Seguso Artwork.
Heritage has the privilege of presenting this exceptionally scarce three sheet, one of only two copies known to still exist today. Possibly the best image to be found out of all five styles of the three sheets offered by the studio, this poster is among the rarest and most desirable items any classic collector could add to their collection. Victor Fleming's epic tale of life in the South before and after the Civil War features Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh in unforgettable roles, with likewise strong performances from Hattie McDaniel, Leslie Howard, and Olivia DeHavilland. A classic among classics, the film went on to win Oscars for Best Picture, Actress, Director, Screenplay, and Supporting Actress, among others. Well-restored, this exquisite three sheet once displayed edge and fold wear, mild fold separations, creases, and pinholes. There were small chips at the edges and folds, as well as a few tears in the borders and interior. The white border and yellow background have been airbrushed. An opportunity never before seen at Heritage, collectors should not pass up their chance to own such a poster as this! From the Theaters of Old Detroit Collection. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
