DescriptionGone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell and Sidney Howard (Selznick International, 1939). Fine. Shooting Script (521 Pages, 8.5" X 11").
An item of extreme scarcity, this shooting script features an alternative ending to the grandest historical romance of its time. Numbered as A 859 and dated from February 27, 1939, the script is bradded with rainbow revision pages and its original green wrapper on the front. Indications of usage found in the script include edge wear, creases, some tears, and surface scuffs. There are stains, pencil writing, and minor paper remnants on the front wrapper. Pages 250 and 252 are detached and show some chipping, and the script is missing page 251 and its back wrapper. A section has been cut in the perforated area on the first page as is typical with studio use.
Estimate: $3,000 - $6,000.
