Academy Award Winners.Starring Clark Gable, Vivien Leigh, Leslie Howard, Olivia de Havilland, Thomas Mitchell, Barbara O'Neil, Evelyn Keyes, Ann Rutherford, George Reeves, Hattie McDaniel, Butterfly McQueen, and Victor Jory. Directed by Victor Fleming. Included in this lot are uncut pressbooks from movies, such as Barry Lyndon (1976), Wild Strawberries (1959),The Molly Maguires (1969), Kansas City Bombers (1972), Airport (1970), The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie (1969), Jenny (1970), They Shoot Horses Don't They? (1970), Savage Messiah (1972), Hail, Hero! (1969), The View From Pompey's Head (1955), The Great White Hope (1970); pressbooks with multiple cuts from movies, such as Life Begins at Eight-Thirty (1942), Good Luck Mr. Yates (1943), Happy Land (1948), The Boys in the Band (1970), The Honeymoon Killers (1970), Bunny O'Hare (1971), John and Mary (1969), Secret Ceremony (1968), Reflections in a Golden Eye (1967); a cut pressbook without its cover from Five Easy Pieces (1970), a 55 paged "Master Campaign Bible" and uncut pressbook from Uncle Tom's Cabin (1965); and many more both cut and uncut pressbooks. Also included in this lot are a variety of additional items, such as duplicate window cards from Sounder (1972), a program from Lord Jim (1965), promotional brochures from Lost Horizon (1973), Thoroughly Modern Millie (1967), Fools (1970), a French program from Riscatto (1953), several loose pages of pressbooks and partial pressbook supplements, and more. Unrestored uncut and cut pressbooks with an overall very presentable appearance. They may have tears, paper loss, creases, cover separations, stains, spine and edge wear, and/or corner bends. Most of the pressbooks have been folded horizontally and there are a few with writing on their covers. The Gone With the Wind (R-1967) pressbook has cuts. There are several sets of multiple copies of pressbooks, which range from two to four copies each. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details.
