    Description

Casablanca (Warner Brothers, 1942). Title Lobby Card (11" X 14").
Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman star in what many consider to be one of the greatest movies ever made. Against the war-torn backdrop of Casablanca, the two rekindle an illicit romance amidst Nazi suspicion, political corruption, and murder. Michael Curtiz's famous film went on to win the Oscar for Best Picture, Director and Screenplay, while Bogey would receive his first nomination for Best Actor. The film's title card isn't easy to come by, and this example has been professionally restored to correct a pinhole in the upper background and minor chips in the top right, lower right, and bottom left corners. Also addressed were several tears in the borders and outer background, as well as one tear from the right edge into the "O" of "Warner Bros." and another tear from the right border into the "N" of "Casablanca." The borders and white background of the card have been airbrushed, and there has been some post restoration wear that has reopened some of the tears in the borders. Fine+.
