    Description

    Ben-Hur (MGM, R-1960s/1959). Very Fine-. Lenticular Standee (10.25" X 13.5"), Color Transparencies (2) (4" X 5" & 8" X 10"), Photo (8" X 10"), & German Herald (8.25" X 11.75"). Academy Award Winners.
Offered in this lot is a collection of items from Ben-Hur including a lenticular countertop standee offered only to select theaters, two color transparencies of Stephen Boyd as Messala, a vintage silver gelatin, single weight, glossy finish photo of Haya Harareet at the premiere of Ben-Hur at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, and a German herald. The lenticular standee is undated, but it is most likely from a 1960s re-release of the film. Starring Charlton Heston, Jack Hawkins, Haya Harareet, Stephen Boyd, Hugh Griffith, Martha Scott, Cathy O'Donnell, Sam Jaffe, Finlay Currie, Frank Thring, Terence Longdon, George Relph, and André Morell. Directed by William Wyler. Unrestored items with clean overall appearances. They may have general signs of use, such as light edge wear, minor creases, mild scuffs, faint smudges, or a few unobtrusive stains. The image of the standee is very slightly starting to separate from the plastic in the bottom two corners. The photo has some minor warping, light checking, and slight surface blemishes. The transparencies may be beginning to turn a bit red as expected with age.
