Description
All About Eve (20th Century Fox, 1950). Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41").Joseph Mankiewicz's screenplay is one of the wittiest ever produced for the movies, and tells the story of an aging actress and the ingénue who tries to replace her. The film would win Best Picture of the Year, and also achieve best screenplay, director and best supporting actor (George Sanders). Bette Davis, as the star Margo Channing, was nominated for Best Actress as was the conniving younger actress (Anne Baxter). Restoration has been applied to fold wear and separations, pinholes, a few tears, and small chips. The borders were trimmed and have since been replaced, as has a chip in the upper right corner. The borders have been airbrushed.
