Academy Awards Portfolio (International Sales Services, 1962). Very Fine+. Art Prints (69) (8.25" X 10.5) with Original Portfolio Case (8.5" X 11") Nicholas Volpe Artwork. Academy Award Winners.
Offered in this lot are portrait drawings by artist Nicholas Volpe. Volpe created a portrait drawing of every winner of the Oscar for Best Actor and Best Actress from 1928 to 1961, and all 69 of those portraits are collected in this portfolio. Portraits include Elizabeth Taylor, Susan Hayward, Charlton Heston, James Stewart, Simone Signoret, David Niven, Audrey Hepburn, Maximilian Schell, Grace Kelly, Ginger Rogers, Olivia de Havilland, Humphrey Bogart, Joan Crawford, Sophia Loren, and many more. Unrestored items with clean overall appearances. They may have general signs of use, such as slight edge wear, mild creases, faint scuffs, smudges, or some very subtle toning. Almost all of the wear is on the portfolio case.
