Description

Academy Awards Portfolio and Display (International Sales Services, 1962). Fine/Very Fine. Art Prints (69) (8.5" X 10.75") with Original Portfolio Folder and Display Stand (11" X 17"), One Sheet (27" X 41"), & Die Formed Academy Awards Oscar Display (11" X 34"). Nicholas Volpe Artwork. Academy Award Winners.
Offered in this lot is a series of 69 portrait drawings by artist Nicholas Volpe which features the actors and actresses whom have been awarded with the prestigious golden statuette. Portraits include Elizabeth Taylor, Charlton Heston, James Stewart, David Niven, Audrey Hepburn, Alec Guiness, Grace Kelly, Ginger Rogers, Olivia de Havilland, Humphrey Bogart, Joan Crawford, Sophia Loren, and many more. Also included is a display stand for the portraits, an advertising poster for the portfolio itself, and a die formed display figure of the "Oscar" statuette. Unrestored items that display signs of use. May include mild edge wear, creases, some surface scuffing, small paper lifts and paint chips, or stains/smudges. The majority of the wear is in the "Oscar" display including surface scuffing and scratching, cracks to the plastic, and a chip in one of the feet. The one sheet and portrait drawings are in excellent condition.
