Lawrence of Arabia (Columbia, 1962). Australian Daybill (13" X 30"). David Lean's magnificent biographical tale of T. E. Lawrence won seven Oscars, including Best Director and Best Picture. Lawrence is an observer for the British Army at the court of Prince Feisel of Arabia during World War I. He conceives of a plan to unite all the Arab factions in their fight against the Turks. Everyone thinks he is mad, but agree to follow him anyway. This Australian daybill has some light wrinkling and a small edge stain, but is otherwise in great condition. The poster features wonderful stone litho artwork of Peter O'Toole wielding a scimitar, as well as smaller images of Alec Guinness, Anthony Quinn, Jack Hawkins and Jose Ferrer. Near Mint.
