DescriptionAbbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (Universal International, 1948). Rolled, Fine/Very Fine. Half Sheet (22" X 28") Style A.
Universal's first entry into its innovative comedy/horror genre melded together not only the talents of their reigning funnymen, Bud Abbott and Lou Costello, but also some of their most popular monster and horror actors to ever hit the screen. Putting together the terrifying trio of Glenn Strange's Frankenstein's Monster, Lon Chaney Jr.'s the Wolf Man, and Bela Lugosi's reprisal as the dreaded Count Dracula, this film managed to give audiences some good shivers up their spines in between Abbott and Costello's laugh-inducing gags. Signs of use seen in this poster include slight edge wear, some creases, pinholes, and minor tears. There are a few faint stains and smudges, ink stamp bleed through, and a tear from the right border that has been braced with cellophane tape on the verso. Rolled, Fine/Very Fine.
Estimate: $2,500 - $5,000.
