    Description

Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (Universal International, 1948). One Sheet (27" X 41").
A gathering of Universal's biggest stars, from Bud Abbot and Lou Costello, to Frankenstein's Monster (Glenn Strange), Dracula (Bela Lugosi), and the Wolfman (Lon Chaney Jr.), with the Invisible Man (Vincent Price) thrown in at the end for good measure, this film marked the end of the Golden Age of Horror. It's a send off fit for the best, with Bud and Lou at their finest in this screwball comedy, which became the studio's second-highest grossing film of the year. It also marked a brief resurgence in the career of Bela Lugosi, the last great role he would play before his tragic decline. Posters from all the Abbott and Costello films are highly desirable, but this one is perhaps the most fondly remembered and highly regarded of the duo's many classic comedies. The poster has been restored to address a stain and chip in the bottom right corner, a chip in the bottom border, a half inch trim from the top border and there has been touch-up to fold wear and the borders and background have been airbrushed. Fine+ on Linen.
