Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (Universal, 1948). Insert (14" X 36"). Someone at Universal had the brilliant idea of combining their two most popular franchises into one motion picture when they united their horror series with their best comedy team, Abbott and Costello. In truth, both series had pretty much run their course and popularity sliding when this project came about. This insert is considered to be the best poster made on this film and is extremely hard to find. The poster shows signs of use which include minor wrinkles both in the image and in the borders. Instead of the usual three horizontal folds, there are five. There are two to three pinholes per corner as well as one in the upper and lower center borders. There are slight smudges and some small tears in the edges. The colors on this poster are vibrant and the description sounds worse than the poster appears. Fine+.
