World War II Propaganda (Bressler Editorial, ca.1942). Very Fine- on Linen. Propaganda Poster (26.25 X 39.5") "Don't Get Caught Off Base" Fred Packer Artwork. War.
This World War II-era U.S. propaganda poster uses a clever baseball metaphor to discourage "job-jumping" and promote labor stability on the home front. With the warning "Don't get caught off base!" and a red arrow labeling the risky "JOB-JUMPER," the design frames switching jobs as dangerous to both personal success and the war effort. Issued at a time when uninterrupted industrial production was critical, the poster urges workers to "play it safe," give their current job their all, and help ensure victory. A restored poster with bright color and a clean overall appearance. It may have general signs of use, such as edge and handling wear, faint toning, pinholes, surface scuffing, chips, creasing, and unobtrusive smudging. Although backed on linen, no additional restoration has been applied. Grades on all restored items are pre-restoration grades.
