DescriptionA Night at the Opera (MGM, R-1948). Fine on Cardstock. Window Card (14" X 22"). Al Hirschfeld Artwork.
MGM made the wise choice to re-release one of their greatest comedic successes of the pre-War years with this Marx Brother's classic from 1935. This wonderful reissue card had trimming to the white imprint area just into the top edge of the artwork. There is touchup to the interior as well as a still apparent tear through Groucho's face. A previous vertical fold can also be seen. Professional restoration has made the card very presentable with airbrushing to the borders, imprint area, most of the background, and some of the text. Fine on Cardstock.
Estimate: $400 - $800.
