Description

3 on a Match (Warner Brothers, 1932). One Sheet (27" X 41"). Three schoolgirl friends reunite ten years after graduating to see how their lives have changed. They have a laugh and light all three of their cigarettes off of the same match, a sure sign that bad luck will befall the third girl. Joan Blondell, Bette Davis and Ann Dvorak (the third girl) carry this melodrama about what fate befalls them. Humphrey Bogart, in a very early role, plays "The Mug," a vicious kidnapper. This poster has extensive restoration in the form of airbrushing to the borders, the red background and the black letters in the upper credits. Most of Dvorak's image above her hat and to the right of her has been restored. The work done on the poster was very well done and it displays well but this poster has had a lot of work done to it. Good on Linen.
