    Description

    2001: A Space Odyssey (MGM, 1968). One Sheet (27" X 41") Style B, Robert McCall Artwork.
Classical music took on a new turn in the revolutionary 2001: A Space Odyssey. Stanley Kubrick's visual discussion of the continuing evolution of mankind used orchestral pieces like "The Blue Danube" and "Also Sprach Zarathustra" to remarkable effect. This B style 70MM poster featuring a lunar landscape and a handful of hard-working astronauts, is the very handy work of artist Robert T. McCall, whose signature can clearly be seen in the rocks, just below the center fold on the left. McCall, commissioned by NASA to document their space program, is one of the foremost illustrators of space related images. There is some edge wear and light fold wear, and some pinpoint stains near the top. Folded, Very Fine-.
