    Description

2001: A Space Odyssey (MGM, 1968). Fine-. Promotional Poster (28" X 42"). Robert McCall Artwork.
This poster is comprised of part of a style B Cinerama one sheet from the film adhered to a promotional poster advertising a ticket contest. One of the most significant science fiction films ever produced, this epic saga was based on Arthur C. Clarke's story, The Sentinel. The story of humanity's evolution, with the help of a mysterious black monolith, this film set the standard for virtually all science fiction films to follow, with its top-notch special effects and deeply philosophical storyline directed by Stanley Kubrick. The poster shows creases, slight edge wear, a couple of tears and chips, as well as staining. The partial Cinerama one sheet has retained great color and shows a few surface scuffs.

    Estimate: $600 - $1,200.
