    Description

RKO Exhibitor Book (RKO, 1942-1943). Spiral Bound Exhibitor Book (66 Pages, 11" X 14"). Miscellaneous.
Spiral bound and hard covered, this exhibitor piece is quite the find. Printed on a lovely linen stock paper for the 1942-1943 season, the book's title page is filled with battle illustrations and proclaims "RKO's Victory Program," in support of America's continued involvement in World War II. Included are exquisite color drawings by Fredric Madan and William Rose, great fold-outs and artwork for such films as Tarzan Triumphs, Bambi, Pride of the Yankees, Once Upon a Honeymoon and Journey into Fear. Also shown are full page designs for the Val Lewton horror films Cat People, I Walked with a Zombie, The 7th Victim, and The Leopard Man. The closing page again includes war illustrations and urges theaters to do their part in the war effort by selling more war bonds and stamps, as they are "Vital for Victory." The book has maintained a great appearance, with only some edge and spine wear and a corner bend on the front cover, staining along the edge of the inside front cover and the bottom corner of one interior page. The protective glossy finish is chipping on the front and back covers. Very Fine-.
