Motion Picture Studio Directory and Trade Annual (Motion Picture News, Inc., 1920). Book (533 Pages, 6.25" X 9.25"). Miscellaneous.
This is truly one of the best resource materials we've ever seen for the pre-1920 silent film era. There are full length photo pages of virtually everyone that was anyone in 1920 in the film industry. This book includes photos of not only top stars, but very scarce photos of cameramen, directors (Mack Sennett, Rex Ingram, Robert Leonard, Victor Schertzinger, etc.), and other industry personnel. There are full page photos for Harold Lloyd, Max Linder, Theda Bara, Neal Hart, King Baggot, Madlaine Traverse, E.K. Lincoln, Mae Murray, Marion Davies, the Talmadge sisters, and many, many more. The book is indexed, and has alphabetical sections on actors, actresses, directors, film companies (with addresses), cinematographer, scenario writers, editors, etc. If you are serious about silent film, you simply can't be without this! There are also some amazing vintage ads for equipment and filming! An unrestored book that displays signs of use. May include light edge and spine wear, a few loose pages in the front, and mild page bends in the bottom borders of some pages. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details. Fine/Very Fine.
