    Description

Jean Harlow Personality Poster Portrait (MGM, 1930s). French Affiche (24" X 33") Dori Art.
The original "blonde bombshell," Jean Harlow made her first screen appearance as an uncredited extra in 1928. By 1930, however, she became a star with her leading role in the Howard Hughes aviation epic, Hell's Angels. Shortly after the picture opened, Hughes sold Harlow's contract to MGM for $60,000, and MGM loaned her out for some career making roles such as Columbia's Platinum Blonde (1931) and Warner Brothers' The Public Enemy (1931). For the next several years, she reigned as one of the top members of Hollywood's elite. Tragically, during the filming of Saratoga (1937), she contracted uremic poisoning and died at the age of 26. Still today, Harlow holds iconic status as one of Hollywood's most popular sex symbols. French artist Dori chose soft pastels to bring this legend to life making this a very collectible image. It appears the full-bleed poster has never been folded. Heritage has never offered a copy of this gorgeous poster before! Very Fine+ on Linen.
