    Hollywood Magazine & Other Lot (Fawcett Publications, 1940). Fine/Very Fine. Magazines (3) (Multiple Pages, Approx. 8.75" X 11.75"). Miscellaneous.
    Included in this lot are the February 1940 issue of Hollywood magazine, the October 1931 issue of Picture Play magazine (Street & Smith Publications, 1931), and the June 1937 issue of Movie Story Magazine (Fawcett Publications, 1937). On the covers of the magazines are pictures and portraits of Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable from Gone with the Wind, Lupe Velez as painted by Modest Stein, and Errol Flynn as seen in The Prince and the Pauper. All three magazines include Hollywood gossip, industry news, fashion insight, film ads, and gorgeous photos of iconic stars, and more. Actors, actresses, and movies featured in the magazines include Henry Fonda and John Carradine in The Grapes of Wrath, Dorothy Lamour and Robert Preston in Typhoon, the Marx Brothers in A Day at the Races and Monkey Business, Barbara Stanwyck, Anna May Wong, Edward G. Robinson and and Bette Davis in Kid Galahad, and many more. Unrestored magazines that display signs of use. May include edge or spine wear, spine separations ad cracks, creases, tears, small chips, surface scuffs, unobtrusive pen writing, smudges, or stains. One of the photos of Vivien Leigh in Hollywood has been cut out.
