Vintage gelatin silver, single and double weight, glossy and matte finished photos pertaining to the personal life of Edward G. Robinson, his then first wife Gladys Lloyd and his only son, Manny Robinson. The photos include a publicity shot of the Robinsons after the birth of Manny, a photo of Edward and Manny (1933) by Elmer Fryer, a posed photo of the couple and child (surrounded by stuffed animals and toys) by Alfredo Valente (1933), another 1930s family photo of the three of them, a 1940s photo of Edward combing Manny's hair and a photo of Manny with a camera on the verso; a photo of Edward reading to Manny (late 1930s), a photo by Schuyler Crail of a young girl who Heritage believes is Gladys Lloyd's first child that Edward inherited when they married, and a portrait photo of Gladys Lloyd herself from the early 1930s. Unrestored photos that display signs of use. May include slight edge wear, corner bends, small tears, smudges, and light surface blemishes. There are blind photographer credit stamps for Fryer, Crail, and Valente in the lower right corner areas, respectively. Three photos in this lot are adhered to sleeves of paper by staples or glue. The photo of Gladys Lloyd is signed, "Always, "Robbie," Mrs. Edward G. Robinson." From the estate of Edward G. Robinson, personally owned by him.
