    Description

Carole Lombard by Eugene Robert Richee (Paramount, 1935). Eastman Kodak Nitrate Negative (7.5' X 9.5"). Miscellaneous.
Vintage Eastman Kodak nitrate negative. Stunning portrait of Carole Lombard in an absolutely splendid creation by the talented Travis Banton. Banton has created a gown of black crepe with a "surplice" treatment at the bodice and mid-section. Ms. Lombard also wears a matching wrap with cuffs of silver fox and a hat adorned with paradise feathers. This very rare original studio negative leaves little question as to why Ms. Lombard was voted 'Best Dressed' that year! An unrestored photo that displays signs of use. May include slight edge wear, small pinholes in the corners, tape remnants in the edges, and/or some mild developer residue which should not affect the printing process. There are some creases in the lower right corner that do not affect the image, as shown in the sample paper photo. This original negative can be used to produce beautiful positive prints when correctly processed. Please see black and white, enlargeable image of sample paper print below for more details. Fine/Very Fine.
