3-D Stock Poster (National Screen Service Corp., 1953). Poster (40" X 60").
Well before the flood of three dimensional films seen in theaters around the world today, there was a brief burst of eye-popping features in the early '50s. Audiences would flock to cinemas and marvel at the images protruding from the screen in feature films such as House of Wax, Creature from the Black Lagoon, It Came from Outer Space, Hondo, and Kiss Me Kate, not to mention numerous shorts and cartoons. However, the 3-D phenomenon proved to be a short lived fad, and, as with most crazes, faded away. Offered here is a wonderful stock poster from the early days of 3-D, informing patrons of the exciting three dimensional entertainment headed their way. It has staple holes and pinholes, edge wear, a stain in the left border, and creasing throughout. Rolled, Fine+.
