Studio Release Publicity Photo (8" X 10").Though her career was limited by racism and discrimination, Anna May Wong was a Hollywood legend as the first Chinese American film actress to star in over sixty films and countless plays persevering through her stereotypical roles. Her legacy continues to influence entertainers around the world even today. This lot offers a striking vintage silver gelatin, single weight, glossy finish photo of the trailblazing actress from Daughter of the Dragon photographed by famed photographer Robert Richee. The photo contains soft corner bumps and creases, surface indentations, pinholes, and smudges. There is a foreign paper snipe on the verso in addition to minor stains, ink stamps, and writing.
