    Casino Royale (MGM, 2006). Near Mint. Prototype $1,000,000 Casino Plaque (3.25" X 2.25" X 0.25") & Prototype $500,000 Casino Plaque (2.75" X 2" X 1/8").
In 2006, Daniel Craig starred in his first James Bond movie, Casino Royale, bringing a grittiness to the Eon Production series that hadn't been seen in a long time. Craig's Bond is an intense and haunted character, but he is also as suave as any Bond that had come before him, something that can be seen in the tense poker scene in Casino Royale in which Bond slyly matches wits with Mads Mikkelsen's Le Chiffre. The plaques in Casino Royale's poker scenes were made specifically for the film, and offered here are two prototypes created by French poker chip manufacturer Bourgogne et Grasset to test the look and feel of the final product. These plaques are slightly smaller that the screen-used plaques, but they look practically identical to their on-screen counterparts with the only exception being the placement of the Bourgogne et Grasset logo. Offered here is a pearlescent blue and a pearlescent red plaque with printed denominations of $1,000,000 and $500,000 respectively. The black and gold lettering and designs are printed on both sides, and standard security features are present including transparent plaque lunettes. Shown in these photos, the see-through casino plaque lunettes glow and cast light when held in front of a light source. The two plaques are in fantastic condition and have only a very minimal amount of light surface scuffs.
