VHS Cover Inserts (3) (8" X 10" & 8.25" X 11.75"), Promotional Flyers (25) (8.5" X 11" & 9" X 13"), U.S. Magazines (2) (Multiple Pages, 8.5" X 11"), French Magazine (84 Pages, 8.5" X 11"), Dutch Magazine (32 Pages, 8.25" X 11.75), Music & Dialogue Lists (Multiple Pages, 8.5" X 14"), Press Material (Multiple Pages, 8" X 10"), & Press Clippings (Multiple Pages, 4.75" X 6" - 12" X 17"). Horror.
    Offered in this lot is a collection of items for Sam Raimi's gore-soaked horror classic, The Evil Dead. Included are unused inserts for 1980s release VHS boxes from Palace Pictures, Thorn EMI Video, and VCL Comunicaciones; a collection of promotional flyers featuring five different designs, one of which is for the British video game for the Commodore 64 and one of which is promoting the original idea for Evil Dead II (which was later used for Army of Darkness); issue #37 (1984) of Fangoria magazine featuring The Evil Dead as the winner of a readers' poll; the November 1982 issue of The Twilight Zone magazine (1982) featuring an article written by Stephen King about The Evil Dead prior to the film's wide release (from which the quote "The most ferociously original horror film of the year" was taken); the January 1983 issue of French magazine Starfix featuring an article about The Evil Dead; a 1983 issue of Dutch magazine Homefun with a short writeup on The Evil Dead; multiple pages of foreign and U.S. press materials, press clippings, and photocopied press pieces; and copies of the music and dialogue lists used in the production of the film. Starring Bruce Campbell, Ellen Sandweiss, Richard De Manincor, Betsy Baker, and Theresa Tilly. Directed by Sam Raimi. Unrestored items with bright color and clean overall appearances. They may have general signs of use, such as mild edge wear, creases, slight tears, scuffs, some light toning, or minor smudges and stains. Some of the press material and news clippings are folded.
