    Description

    The Curse of the Cat People by DeWitt Bodeen (RKO, 1944). Hardbound Script (8.5" X 11"), Autographed Photo (8" X 10"), & Autographed Letter (8.5" X 10").
DeWitt Bodeen had written a few well-received plays when he made his way to Hollywood as a reader. He came to the attention of producer Val Lewton, who hired him as a research assistant on Jane Eyre. When Lewton went to RKO, he asked Bodeen to join him as a screenwriter. Together with directors Jacques Tourneur and Mark Robson, Lewton and Bodeen would create a trio of famous psychological horror films, Cat People, The 7th Victim and this not-quite-a-sequel, The Curse of the Cat People. This autographed personal copy of the script was sent to a fan along with a letter and autographed photo. There are eleven pages of scrapbooked reviews in the hardbound script, as well as a photo of Bodeen and Simone Simon. The script shows expected spine, edge, and cover wear. The photo and letter are in excellent condition. Very Fine.
