    Description

The Body Snatcher (RKO, 1945). Fine-. Lobby Card Set of 8 (11" X 14").
Based more on the true story of Burke and Hare, this fictional work of Robert Louis Stevenson's novel found Boris Karloff as a grave robber and murderer supplying bodies to a surgeon for an anatomical class. Bela Lugosi co-stars in this, the final film the two Titans of Terror would appear in together. This set of cards depicts the two stars in one scene together. General signs of usage found in these cards includes edge wear with small tears, creasing, pinholes into the interior, and rounded corners. They also show surface scuffing, stains, and smudging. Some of the cards have paper, cellophane, archival, and/or masking tape on the verso. One card has a bit of of paint along the edges, and there are a couple of cards with amateur touchup to mild tears and pinholes in the interior. Another card has a minor splice and a small piece of cellophane tape in the image. The title card has a small chip and tape stain at the top with a minor remnant of cellophane tape. Fine-.
