Description

King Kong (RKO, 1933). Lobby Card (11" X 14").
Who can forget watching the intense scene from this great lobby card for the first time? A giant ape toying with a two thousand pound tree log. Tossing it playfully about to dislodge the pesky humans to their death into the cavern below. Long before there was CGI, there were hands on stop-motion craftsman of infinite patience and creativity, like Willis O'Brien, giving this film its truly magical and fantastical look. There are several pinholes in the border with a few in the image, and some edge wear. Fine.
