Very rare, these black and white, double weight, glossy finish, behind-the-scenes photos from Steven Spielberg's iconic summer blockbuster are making a first-time appearance at Heritage. The film's still photographer, Louis Goldman, captured these candid, on-set images of the cast and crew both at work and at play. Featured is a photo of Steven Spielberg taking a break with Roy Schneider, a still of Susan Backlinie emerging from the ocean after one of her skinny-dipping scenes, an image of Roy Scheider holding a Jaws-themed cake, a photo of Spielberg and Backlinie in the ocean as the crew readies an underwater camera, a still of production designer and second unit director Joe Alves working on Bruce the Shark, and a back shot of the crew filming a scene with Bruce. All of the photos are in excellent condition with practically no flaws. Louis Goldman's photographer credit stamp is on the verso of each photo.
