House on Haunted Hill (Allied Artists, 1959). One Sheet (27" X 41").
Artist Reynold Brown created a masterpiece with this creepy one sheet, including the haunted manse of the title. The actual house used for the film's opening sequence was the Dennis Brown House in Los Angeles, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and built in 1924. The poster also features a spot-on rendering of the sinister Vincent Price, playing the role of a millionaire who offers ten thousand dollars to five people that must spend one evening in his unsettling abode. This piece is always a collector favorite, and for good reason. Fantastic imagery and design meet excellent quality with this example, which shows only light touch up to pinholes in the borders and background, folds/crossfolds, misfolds, and a small chip in the center of the top border.
