    Description

    Horror of Dracula (Universal International, 1958). Fine+ on Linen. Italian 2 - Fogli (39.25" X 55").
Posters for this Hammer classic are always in high demand, but this never before offered by Heritage Italian 2 - fogli should be at the top of any horror collector's list. A piece sure to stand out in any collection, this amazing poster features a different image than that of the other Italian paper and unlike most foreign posters created for the film. It boasts a vibrant, and yet still menacing and ominous, portrait of Christopher Lee as Dracula looming over his unfortunate victim, Melissa Stribling as Mina Holmwood. Hammer Films struck box office gold with its string of gruesome Universal horror remakes, thanks in no small part to the sinister talents of Sir Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing. As their second Hammer film after the popular The Curse of Frankenstein in 1957, their work on The Horror of Dracula was met with even greater success and cemented Cushing and Lee's places in film history. Professional restoration has been applied to fold wear and separation, pinholes, as well as some tears and chips in the borders and folds. There was some paper loss at the center crossfold. A bit of the wear in the lower border is still visible. The top and side borders have been airbrushed.
