Description
Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man (Universal, 1943). Insert (14" X 36").Take note, horror fans, this Heritage first is an absolute must for collectors of the genre. A trendsetter at Universal studios, Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man kicked off a series of crossover "ensemble" films that brought some of the screen's most memorable monsters together in new terrifying tales until the end of the franchise in 1948. Lon Chaney Jr. returns for his second appearance as Wolf Man Lawrence Talbot, and for the first and only time, the great Bela Lugosi finally dons the role of Frankenstein's Monster to much studio fanfare. It's no wonder that the dynamic battle between beasts has become a favorite image among horror fans, it's striking lines and ghoulish colors a perfect taste of action anticipated by eager audiences. This insert has pinholes, slight fold wear, and paper tape on the verso along the borders. The borders show light edge wear with small tears and nicks, some toning, and have a gradual trim by 1/8" and 1/16" in the lower left and upper right borders respectively. Certainly a rarity, this insert displays beautifully with a clear image free of most wear. From the Collection of Lynn Naron. Folded, Fine+.
